Starting out in yoga is like starting out in a new relationship. It’s exciting, it makes us feel amazing and it can be more than a little bit addictive! Like most new things we learn, the beginning stages of yoga are really important because this is when we lay the foundation and form habits that can really shape the way we practice.

So here are some quick tips for Yogis:

  • Please turn off all cell phones.

  • Speak quietly and kindly while in the studio.

  • Listen to your body. Take a rest at any time.

  • Try not to eat a meal at least two hours before class.

  • Respect yourself, your fellow members and your teacher.

  • Dress comfortably and modestly.

  • Enjoy your time getting nourished.

  • Arrive at least 10-15 before class time.
